Scope
This procedure applies to all user administration activities within the BioSig-ID Admin Dashboard. The process is the same for all products; only the assigned Group may differ.
Important: Faculty members do not require an administrator account to access BioSight-ID. BioSight-ID is integrated directly into the institution's Learning Management System (LMS) and is accessed at the course level. Administrator accounts should only be assigned to personnel responsible for managing users and administrative functions within the BioSig-ID platform.
Responsibility
The Primary Administrator assigned by BioSig-ID (BSI) is responsible for creating, modifying, and removing user access for authorized personnel within the organization. This may be your organizations primary POC with BSI or one designated by that individual.
Procedure
Create a New User
- Navigate to the BioSig-ID Dashboard ( link will be provided to primary Admin ).
- Enter the username provided by BSI and click Submit. Then enter the password and sign in.
- Select Admin Management from the BioSig-ID Admin Dashboard.
- Click Add a New Admin User.
Enter the user's:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
Select the appropriate Group based on the user's required level of access:
- Account Admin
- Account Admin with Stats
- BioProof-ID & BioSight Admin
- BioProof Admin
- BioSight Admin
- FSA & BioSight Admin
- FSA Admin
- FSA Checker
- Helpdesk Admin
- Helpdesk Admin with Activity
- Helpdesk User
- Helpdesk User ADA
- Helpdesk User ADA + Reset
- Click the Save (Hard Disk) icon.
- The system will create the account and automatically send login instructions to the user's email address.
Modify a User
- Navigate to Admin Management.
- Locate the user in the user list.
- Use the Group drop-down menu to update the user's access level.
- Save the changes if prompted.
Delete a User
- Navigate to Admin Management.
- Locate the user in the user list.
- Click the Trash Can icon next to the user's account.
- Confirm the deletion if prompted.
- Verify the user no longer appears in the active user list.
Review
The Primary Administrator should periodically review user accounts and Group assignments to ensure access remains appropriate and that inactive users are removed promptly.
